I have a dairy allergy/lactose intolerance - Can I use your productsUpdated 2 years ago
While we do use Goat's Milk in a majority of our products, we also use cow's milk as well. We would recommend discussing all product ingredients with your doctor, dermatologist or allergist before use if you have a dairy allergy. We know you are the one with the most knowledge on your allergy, and some allergens can have multiple ingredient names or ingredient derivatives that you may need to avoid. If you are not 100% sure the ingredients are safe for you, please seek guidance from your physician or allergist.
If you only have a digestive sensitivity such as lactose intolerance, a lacking of the lactase enzyme in the digestion process to break down lactose, this does not relate to topical use as it is not processed through the digestive system.
If you have a specific allergy to milk and one of its derived ingredients, then we recommend thoroughly reviewing all ingredients with your physician before use. All ingredients for Beekman 1802 products are listed right on our website for your ease of search. On the Beekman 1802 website, search for the ingredient(s) you're allergic to in the search bar. Products with that ingredient will pop up. You will want to avoid those items.
Ingredients derived from Cow's Milk include:
- Lactose
- Milk Protein (multiple forms)
- Bifida Ferment Lysate
- Colostrum
Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. We're always happy to help!
